Dr. Jennifer Bibevski
Dr Bibevski is a board certified veterinary Surgeon who first travelled to Macedonia in 2013 where she immediately recognized the natural beauty of the region. She was however disappointed to see so many stray animals in the cities with no real programs in place to control stray numbers and provide basic health monitoring to such a large population of cats and dogs. Although the government had already implemented excellent programs to protect the native bears and wolves, domestic animals had been overlooked and the pressures of human expansion into the region was recognized as a threat. Through her conversations with Dr Lynel Tocci an experienced voluntary veterinarian with the World Vets Organization, the plan to implement a trap-neuter-release program in Macedonia was born. Since the birth of that idea, the ability to impact further by securing expansive lands for wildlife to thrive, educate the young about sustainability, respect for native and domestic animals, and positively influence urban development became a strong passion for her. With the formation of the Foundation, she looks forward to showing the world what can be done to impact societies with the power of an idea with a strong commitment to do what is right.
